The best way to assure that a Texas real estate licensee is representing YOUR interests instead of the seller's is to enter into a written Buyer Representation Agreement which spells out the obligations and responsibilities of both parties. Not sure you want to be "locked in" to an agreement? No problem. At ERA Stephens Properties our Buyer Rep Agreement contains a clause that allows you to terminate the agreement if you're not satisfied that we're doing everything we agreed to do. Give us 10 days from the date you give us notice to correct the situation. If you're still not satisfied, we'll grant you a no-hassles termination of the Buyer Representation Agreement. |
